Hi burkphoto, when you say you would speak to an apple store manager, well, here is what I did...I called Apple, and got a pro on the phone. She said it was not apple's problem and that I had to call Comcast or Earthlink, that it was their problem. (my email was also affected.). Both Comcast and earthlink said it was not their problem, and Comcast even sent out a tech to check out my connection. I called back to apple and they handled my call twice and then turned me over to a senior tech. This was day 3. The senior tech told me she would confer with other senior tech's and get back to me. Already day 4. They never did get back to me. So, I went to the apple store in my area with my computer. At the genius bar, they thought they fixed the problem, (but didn't.) I went back to the apple store and they, right to my face told me it was an "environmental" problem. What kind of bull is an environmental problem I asked. They could not answer. So, here I was with a defective computer all because I installed Mojave. My next step, I called an apple authorized repair company. I asked if they could fix the problem and they asked if they could re-install the previous operating system. I told them if they did that, Apple would NOT honor any problems that possibly arise. They told me that THEY would honor and subsequent problems 100%. Needless to say, they did a real good job of fixing my computer. They even were able to reinstall over 80,000 images I have on file. So, when you say see the manager, LOL. I sure did!!!

Wow. Just wow.
I have had very different experiences here. The Apple Store should have replaced the drive, or the machine, which ever would fix it.
