I have one of these beasts and I’m looking for a pdf of the user manual, or if someone could tell me what the black lever on the side is for. Not the A / M selector. Thanks in advance.

Just guessing, but is it a lock to keep the lens from creeping/zooming while carrying on the camera?

Well this lever is locked yet zoom and focus are free so I don’t know. Don’t want to force it
