Nice scene. Understand one of the goals here was 16x9, but if you're open to experimenting, perhaps give a thought to moving the horizon off dead center by eliminating some sky, giving more emphasis to the warm, welcoming tones in the lower part of the image.
Beautiful shot. If it was mine I would move the horizon to a higher position.
I really like the shot. I would leave the horizon where it is. Then, using your tool of choice, remove everything relating to humans from the shot. The beach and landscape is too pretty to be anything but pristine.
