Lumix G7 Shutter Problem

The mechanical shutter on my G7 (already out of warranty) is stuck closed so I can't even revert to the electronic shutter. Panasonic wanted close to $400 to repair but a new G7 now is just under $500 so I decided not to have it repaired. Is anyone aware of a simple or cheap fix for this problem?

I've powered down & removed battery many times. I've reset at least 3 times with no results.
