For starters I do agree with the OP of this thread.
There is a double standard.

But and this is from some white guys I have known who
actually take it as a compliment.

But I do sympathize with you; it has become acceptable to publicly

There are more examples than that. However to claim "payback" for something that didn't happen to you is simply nuts. If we could do that then I too would have license to call others nasty names for what happened to some of my ancestors.
