I have one that may not be my favorite Streets, but it sure was the one that took the most intense setup. This is from my archives. It was scanned from a B&W print. It was from '61 or '62 and I am not sure what camera I used. This was taken from atop Mt. Fugi, Japan at Sunrise. Of course I had to climb to the summit to get this shot. It is not a fantastic image by any means, but for the memories it brings, it is priceless. I still have the walking stick that I used to help me up the mountain.
There is a legend in Japanese folklore or maybe religion, that if you see the Sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji, you will go to 天国の名前 which is their word for Heaven. As I was climbing and about to stop to get some air, I saw a Japanese man with an a-frame with his Grandmother strapped to it, so that she could see the Sunrise. At that point, I had to get over myself and forge on. If he could do it with his Grandmother on his back, surely I could do it.
After it got dark, I found a place where someone had a small fire and we waited for Sunrise. The trip down the mountain was much easier and faster. I went around to the top of the Lava flow, and slid down it's entire length. On the way down, I did land on my butt a couple of times, and as some point, my wallet came out of my pocket. So somewhere on top of Mt. Fuji, in the Lava flow, is my lost wallet. Good thing I had my return ticked for the train ride back home. After that trip, I decided that I would never climb a mountain again.

I have one from April 7th, 2016. We were on a cruise from Florida to Barcelona, Spain. I was on my way to dinner & stepped outside to check the sunset. It was our 2nd day at sea. Glad my camera was with me as I snapped this sunset shot. Was pleased to have caught the reflection of the setting sun in the dining room windows. It's one of my very favorite shots. Bob

Nice shot Bob! I don't often see your composition unless the subject is the rough seas the ship/boat is encountering--been there done that off the Maine coast.

Here's one I hope to never take again. This of my daughter standing in sorrow with our dog. Our farm took a direct hit by a tornado. We had just emerged from the cellar to survey the damage. I had my camera and was taking pictures of the damage when I saw her standing motionless. I quickly took this shot, then walked over to console her. An image will forever be burned into my memory. We lost most of our out buildings and our home sustain heavy damage, but thankfully everyone in the family survived without a scratch. Scanned from Kodachrome slide film.

I am so sorry for your loss and glad that everyone was OK James. This is such a powerful image.

That's wonderful. The horizon and the verticals are spot on.

This is my favorite. It was taken about 1974. The who is my daughter and the where is unknown as well as the camera and film. It was total luck on my part as the location, the pose and the shutter click all just happened.

Adorable. Love the fogginess and her expression. I can envision a friendly critter in the shot that she is interacting with. Mind if I play with it if I can find something in my stock file that would work?

Thank you. I am no master but every bit is practice and makes the next one better and this image seemed like a good one to try on.
