"Tasty Lentils"

The cold weather is here and soups & stews are favored! Lentils are very tasty and are high in protein! This meal is easy to make, not complicated at all! I first used a med red onion cut in half then cut each half cut into rough chunks.

Next add a table spoon or two of Coconut Oil and chop 5-6 clove of garlic roughly, and mix with red onion. Season with course black pepper, Mediterranean Spiced Sea Salt, Herb De Provence and mix well. And add
one package of Greek Sausage Loukaniko cut rough!

Add 18 baby carrots chopped in half diagonally, with 3-4 Bay Leaves. Then add 1 16oz bag of brown lentils mixed well. Next add one large can of PASTENE 28oz Tomato Puree to pot with one can of sping water mixing well. Also, add four Bay Leaves . . .

When boil starts, add one more can of spring water to pot and mix well. Leave half can of spring water on counter to use later for thinning if needed!

Cooked in 8 qt Fissler pressure cooker one line 30 minutes.

Plated in Chili Dish to serve, add vinegar for taste! Try it, you may enjoy it! AP

Wonderfull hearing from you, Dancers . . . This is a simple recipe in the making. All fresh veggies. Baby Carrots cut diagonally. Red Onion cut chunky matched with coarsely chopped garlic and mixed fresh herbs.
Very tasty indeed!

Many cooks make Lentils cooked in water. If you use any kind of tomato sauce to cook your lentils in, along
with all the spices mixed well! Very tasty . . . AP

John, I am proud of the kind words you write when talking about my different recipes. Your the best! When I was a little boy I did not care much for my Grandmother's Lentils for lent, made for Easter.

However, I loved the Italian recipes made with tomato sauce! It's amazing how much you can learn by sharing and mixing! To be creative in your cooking is the best! And, if taste good and you like it, it's a winner!

Alway stay in touch, John Lawrence! CIAO, AP

Welcome, Black Elk Peak! This is so simple to make, you have to try it! Can't find Greek Sausage, use Italian sweet or hot sausage or any type of meat. Use chicken thighs or breast, boanless & skinless of course! AP
