Got it up and running ( could not get pictures out of camera )

I want to thank all of you that helped me out with your suggestions in how to get the pictures out of my camera and in regards to the card reader. The card reader is surley the way to go a little more prepration perhaps but it does save the batteries on the camera that is for sure. I am still confused about the formating but I think and hope by my deletering all of the pictures on the card once I put it back in my camera does the same thing. And Yes I do have a manuel that talks about it but is not clear to me. Page 80 and page 63 ....

The way I've been told, Buddy, is to insert the card into the camera and then do a "format" before proceeding to take more photos.
Just deleting the photos is good, but it doesn't "sweep out" the dusty corners and put the "furniture" back in place. The format function will do it all!

Well my friend I have read that too but my problem is thus; How in the heck do you proceed and actually do a format that is what has me stumped. It is the procedure that gets me. How? How? I found the page and read it. All it says is format???

You should just have to select it. The camera will do the format, leaving your card clean and ready to use.

Billsz..I have a Finepix S3000 but I have gotten information and applied it taking care of my formatting.
