Thanks for sharing. My husband and I will be taking an Alaskan cruise either this or next year, and I'm always interested in photos from there.

Our first trip was a cruse but the cruse lines don't tell you that Alaska is the second largest rain forest in the world, so take your rain gear and waterproof foot wear, you will be in mud.My youngest son and his wife lived in Valdez for 5 years so we visited as much as possible. There are sunny days and they are grand photo opps in every direction. Hope you have as much fun as we had in visits to Ak.

Love the glaciers! Sorry you missed the sunshine, but the clouds do add some interest. You just have to catch what you can with these circumstances.

The 'driest' summer months are May thru mid June, just 6+ inches of rain. We went end of May thru end of June, 2014, spectacular weather,... most but not all years! Winter is, hum, beautiful! If you ever have the option, DRIVE, use the ferry system. It is amazing the photo ops you miss on the cruise ships!
