Very nice use of the oil effect. Personally, I have no qualms with the noisy version.

Great image. Great color. The noise does not bother me in the original image. I love playing with textures etc in post though so I like them both.

Thanks very much. And sometimes the playing results in something good, but sometimes the delete key doesn't work fast enough.

Jerry, as you know, I liked the original post and the painted version is very unique and I love it also.

Well done. Will have to give that adjustment a try

Thanks
There are so many choices in those menus I am not sure if I have looked at all of them, let alone tried them. And then there are the other PP programs.

I think the "painted image" is much more striking and appealing than the original. Lemonade out of lemons to my mind.

I will print it for photo club this month, just need to decide on the paper.

I wish I could have gotten one as he circled the feeder. When he went into the direct beam of sunlight that throat and head exploded into fire engine red neon.

I don't know how you did these but both of them are exquisite as far as I am concerned and I hope I can do as well some day myself. Nice Work.

Thanks
For every one I get this good I wear out two delete buttons.
At the suggestion of "Linda from Maine" I am doing a post for the Post Processing forum after I get a list made of all the steps I took. And go to the store with the "honey do list" I just got.
