I'll be traveling to Vegas in a few weeks. I'll be shooting mainly NASCAR and World of Outlaw Sprint Cars but I have a model wanting to shoot as well. I am looking for an outside area to shoot at. I've done the "Ghost Town" in Needles but looking for something closer that may be similar. Any help would be great! Thanks...

Try NHRA for more Auto Photography. Models can involve fees for site use. I'm not really familiar with NV (though I do have a friend in Henderson), but in California you might try Pioneertown near the towns of Joshua Tree and 29 Palms off Hwy 62.

It is the Neon Museum east of Downtown. They require a permit process for pro shoots.

Yes, A friend of mine has been there and taken photos. It looks to be kinda cool.

Nelson, NV. Small but picturesque ghost town - an old mining town.

The Tehacicup mine at Nelson isa great place to shoot- about 3 miles past the houses that are actually the town of Nelson. Great old buildings and mining equipment and old rusty cars. I drive that road frequently and always lots of folks with tripods there.

You might want to see if you can do the shoot in the Shelby Museum, not to far from LVM speedway

Check out the Clark County Museum 1830 S Boulder Hwy 866 983 4279 or 702 455 7955. Website is useful also. Excellent variety of photo-ops indoors or out and for some reason not heavily visited. Guess everybody is in the casino or up at the track

I like Valley of Fire S.P. and as previously mentioned, Red Rocks. both are less than an hours drive from L.V.

shoot at the track and point across the street towards the air force base. might catch the thunderbirds in the background. (nellis a.f.b.- home of the t-birds) :-)
