I've never actually said what books I suggest be read here.

I've selected 22 across a broad spectrum including history, politics and economics.

I've kept it to one suggestion per author, although some are controversial it is essential IMHO to know the thoughts of those shaping the thinking of the modern world even if we disagree with them, an=nd even if they were mad.

A good library for starters:

RULES FOR RADICALS - Saul Alinsky

A HISTORY OF THE ENGLISH SPEAKING PEOPLES - Winston Churchill

DEMOCRACY IN AMERICA - Alexis de Tocqueville

CAPITALISM AND FREEDOM - Milton Friedman

THE ROAD TO SERFDOM - Friedrich Hayek

THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES - Ernesto "Che" Guevara

MEIN KAMPF - Adolf Hitler

POLITICAL PILGRIMS - Paul Hollander

WHAT IS TO BE DONE - Vladimir Lenin

A C*******T MANIFESTO - Karl Marx

LIBERTY AND TYRANNY: A CONSERVATIVE MANIFESTO - Mark Levin

THE TRUMPET OF CONSCIENCE - Martin Luther King Jr

1984 - George Orwell

ATLAS SHRUGGED - Ayn Rand

THE GULAG ARCHIPELAGO - Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

ETHNIC AMERICA - Thomas Sowell

THE CONTENT OF OUR CHARACTER - Shelby Steele

THE FEDERALIST PAPERS - Various authors

THE HOLY BIBLE - Various authors

THE HOLY QURAN - Various authors/unknown

THE ART OF WAR - Sun Tzu

HUMAN ACTION - Ludwig Von Mises

Set down the H**ERADE bro, I believe in knowing my enemies and you believe in wh**ever you are told.

And, actually, you and most l*****ts are spot on with Adolf if the genocide is dropped.

Do you know who he got a lot of his ideas, including the genocide, from?

The answer would be Andrew Jackson of your beloved party.

The reason I keep saying to read a book Frank is because you seriously need to read the entire list ... in your current state you know nearly nothing.

Frank, in all seriousness, you are a fool.

The sad part is that I believe you have the IQ to learn ... but you choose to be a fool to the point you insist upon being a fool.

I am quite comfortable in my own skin and with my education level, while you are quite comfortable being a fool.

Now, let me try to help people who want to discuss knowledge, and be helped by others who may want to add to the list.

I can’t help you, however, in being a fool ... you have that mastered.

I won't miss you. I've worked with the mentally I'll and believe me when I tell you, you have serious issues aside from being an idioot.

Let the grown ups talk Frankie.

Now if you ever want to meet and take an IQ test together I’ll spot you 10 points on a decent wager.

How much will your mommy front you on your allowance?

And it’s i***t, not “IDIOOT” my fiendishly foolish friend.

Now that Frank has shat in the thread trying to troll discussion, perhaps we can begin again.

I’m always open to suggestions for good reads on political ideology.

Since Frank and friends are curious as to what a book is and which ones ...if any ... they should read, I wanted to bump this list.

Your list was light on fiction. By all accounts ATTD, is a better read than Atlas Shrugged.

Hopefully you don't believe that everyone will get the same thing from some of those books as you did. Some on your list I haven't read. Others I have and I'll bet the message I got was considerably different than the message you believe you received.
