Is this something I will need. Or should I just lenses that need to be calibrated to the Manufacturer?
My 150-600 arrived with a Tap-in and I was surprised that my new lens had a firmware upgrade available. Bought a used 28-70 from mpb (couldn't tell it was used) & installed an update for it as well. It also allows you to fine tune focus characteristics on Tamron lens it is compatible with. You might never need to use it but it might be fun to work with.
Thanks, I am looking at buying a Tamron 18-400 zoom and I can buy one that includes the Tap In. It looks like its about a $60.00 extra for free and I don't need another tripod or some other junk some are offering.
