I've seen the "whites" when they're gone. In the summer I have seen them breeding in/on the Slave River in the Canadian Northwest Territories. Great viewing of the river at Fort Smith on the edges of Wood Buffalo National Park. They don't dive to fish. They stick their open bills in the water and scoop out the fish on their way by.

Thanks for looking Joker, really appreciate it

Lovely late afternoon photos of the White Pelicans. They always tend to be in groups. Between MN and WI one tends to see them along the Mississippi River. However, they have been found in National Refuges quite a distance from that place. Until a few years ago, I was only aware of the lovely Brown Pelicans found in FL and areas near there, but the White Pelicans are a welcome sight. "I love FL birds".

To the Ten Thousand Islands in Everglades National Park, on Chokoloskee Bay
Took a nice boat ride yesterday in search of White Pelicans and hit the mother lode on Chokoloskee Bay; It's that time of year, when we get visited by these beautiful Pelicans. Please enjoy the downloads and double clicks

Gregory, I love it and High Five for it.

Greg
