Yes, Gene … I know what it's FOR! … My a77II also has zebras, too, btw … neat!!!!

The problem is - it never ever goes OFF! … Each time I come back to it, and turn on PB - there it is!!!!

I can understand it happening in Review Mode, but, it happens - now - continuously …

Then you need to stop overexposing. Simple. If it still happens, then you need to have it repaired. Simple, but more expensive.

If it were a Nikon, Larry … I'd already have done it. Problem is - it's a Pentax, and they really don't have Customer Service, like Canon and Nikon and Sony. First off - who would you call? … Ricoh? … Fat lot they care about a problem you're having on a Pentax!!! … Although, they market them, they don't service them!

Sorry. Didn't realize that this was a problem with a Pentax. Just saw your Nikons in your signature and stopped reading, I guess.
Hopefully you can find someone who can fix it.

As you can see from the Signature - I have backups for all my Nikons, Canons, and Sonys, Larry …

But, as you can also see - I only have the one Pentax DSLR - and it's the only one great in Low Light, too!

Yes, I hope I can find someone who can help me with it, too ….

Thanks ….

Gene - know anyone in the Tri-State area (CT, NY, NJ) who repairs Pentax cameras?

I did try that, Scotty … right after the drop. Actually, I was just checking to see if the lens mount had been damaged. It hadn't, but it didn't change things, with the blink. So, it's Repair City for me, then - is it?

If it happens with a different lens, send the body for repair. If not, send the lens.

Interesting … I could do that, Scotty … have a 50-200 I bought for my used K-3. The K-3 went back, but the lens didn't. I'll try it. But, tell me - why do you think that might make a difference, Scotty?

Later: Scotty - problem solved!!! … So, it's the lens, then - which was damaged in the drop, and that then somehow caused the screen to blink on and off, interminably. I guess I need to do some lens shopping, then … or - just use the 50-200 from now on. Thanks, awfully, Scotty … now, my fave camera is back on the line, so-to-speak !!!!!

The lens would not stop down when the camera told it to. So your images were overexposed.

I suppose that's a logical argument. But, it doesn't explain why the blinking started, after the camera was turned on, cold … would it?

It does if you were looking at an image taken after you dropped.

My Nikons only blink after the image is captured. To reduce the blinkies I have to lower the exposure or ISO and take another shot.

I can see my Sony's Zebra warnings before I trip the shutter. That's more convenient. The lens is already stopped down because I am using only Leica and Zeiss M lenses.

Cool. Wouldn't have expected that. Perhaps the lens can be fixed...should be quite a bit less expensive than a camera repair.

The camera was two hundred bucks, and the lens I bought with it, was another two hundred.

The used lens I bought later was another hundred. So, now, Larry - instead of having an exotic cheap camera with a priceless fancy lens (which is no longer made) worth $400 new, I now have a cheap camera with a cheap used lens - made by the same manufacturer who made the camera, worth about $300 ….

Isn't it wonderful how things work out, sometimes???

Oh, I see … but, no … because if I advance too far - I'm back to the beginning again, on the first pic I took, when the camera was brand new, Scotty … and with the other lens - even THAT shot blinked. … Like I say, I blinked back - but it took no notice of me!!!!
