A walk in the swamp

It is a warm 74 degree day in North Alabama today. My wife and I decided to stroll thru a cypress swamp at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. I took my little Canon SX60HS with me in case anything interesting showed itself. Finally looked downwards and saw the two images below. I kind of liked them. When we got home, I moved the files to my iPad, and cropped the images slightly and turned them into monochromatic fare using the simple features of the iPad. Hope these appeal to somebody out there.

Thank you, Mike. There were no swamps near us when we lived in Granger, back in 1958.

Thanks! It’s not bad for a camera to keep in the car. You do need to figuratively glue it to the Rock of Gibraltar when zoomed all the way out.

Thanks, AzPicLady! I showed these to family members, and each had a different idea on what they saw. So, maybe they are abstract enough.

Hey, Will47 - that DC swamp is way to scary for me. They have REAL predators up there!
