Sky finally cleared after several days of gray.
A few telltale signs that we may not be looking at sooc

Dramatically engaging, well done.

I was hoping you wouldn't notice
I am going to post it on the PP thread and see if I can get some help in dealing with those signs without spending hours in PS
That is a very beautiful shot.
You haven’t chosen the easiest subject to cut out but I would have expected Ps to deal with it better than here. Try reselecting the tool and using ‘refine selection’, brush around the skyline with the ‘forked-looking’ brush. Then reduce the selection by three or four percent or whatever works best and you should see some improvement. If all else fails, go to Topaz and use their masking programme, it’s pretty good. Like the idea here, the sky is very dramatic and that hand-shaped cactus with its upright index finger is perfect!
Edit: Oops, sorry, thought we were in the pp section already!
Thanks magnetoman I'll try that too.

Hi Curmudgeon, Beautiful image.
Magentoman give excellent advice. In addition, there's a new feature in PS, the 'Background Erasure Tool'. I've used it and it works extremely well for cutting out difficult backgrounds. You might give that a try if you don't have Topaz.
Mike
Thanks Mike, one more thing to try.
