Gorgeous clear day on Mt. Baker. Not enough snow to ski so I hit the mountain with my snowshoes and hiked up to Artist point. It's a fantastic work out with the reward of amazing scenery.

About 20 years ago, I was up on Mt. Baker in July and the peak was still covered in snow...very beautiful. Thanks for sharing this shot. Good memories. jak

Wow!! Not enough snow in Feb. on Mt Baker to ski??!! I grew up in that country and recall there being a ski race held every year on the 4th of July called the Slush Cup and many feet of snow every winter. What a change.

As a student at WWSC I worked wknds running ski lifts at Baker.
We spent Sat night in old lodge [before fire] and got up early with the Ranger; fired up chairlift; rode to top and helped him shoot the roman wall [155mm I think] and then we had first run in famous" Mt Baker
Powder".
