Nice shots. That white wall with white uniforms is an interesting challenge.

The “pained” expressions on most of the players and ref show that they did not like the lighting either. :)

Nice shots. On my little iPad, don’t think I could even see much noise at the ISO 10000. Good work

First and last are my favorites of this set

Thank you David, lighting was rough. Outside light, plus florescent not good.

Lighting had to be awful Jules. Shooting at ISO 10,000, how could they see the goal??? Great job at that kind of ISO and under those conditions.
Don't you shoot with a Nikon D500?

Great pictures, and hardly noticeable noise for such a high ISO. White balance looks really good for such an odd mix of lighting, too.

Thanks Sensor. Tomorrow night I am going to use my D4. I want to see if the noise level is better while shooting bb.

ISO 8,000-10,000 is common in our local gyms. These came out well. Particularly well for 1/500, good job on positioning yourself and timing it right.

Curious if you have tried JPEG as well as RAW. In my 8000+ ISO sports shots, I am actually liking the in camera NR over LightRoom. I don't have time to use other tools in my workflow (I want them out and off my queue ASAP that night).

Thanks for looking and commenting. I only shoot jpeg, I don't mind the editing process. It gives me something extra to do with my time. Being retired and all shooting all the games is a blessing.
