Well if gun violence is the only issue then the answer is quite obvious. We need to control who can obtain weapons. Reasonable restrictions like training, background checks and mandatory insurance for the owners wouldn't be unreasonable.

This is obvious to most Americans but maybe not to Russian sympathizers. Mass shootings and school shootings are violent. They used guns. Common sense tells anyone that can independently think, that these incidents fit in a topic of gun violence.
