The experience of owning a Ford Pinto many years ago was extremely discouraging. However when my youngest needed a car while in college, we bought him a used Ford Taurus. That changed my mind and currently I have a 2010 model which I love. Comfortable ride, easy handling, lots of power (even with a 6 cylinder), great gas mileage, plus it looks good.

And never forget to change the winter air out of your tires in the spring.

You could get a bumper sticker for your Pinto that said "To light, strike here"

That little "bomb" of a car was relegated to the scrap pile many years ago I figure, since I traded it off for a used Toyota Celica GT back in '85. That one is also long gone.
