Best macro I have used was a 90mm Tokina manual focus. It was owned by a dentist who used it on a Lester Dine Olympus ring light. The ring light fit the 72mm front filter ring. The lens is very good.
Tokina has a variety of 90mm Macros in legacy and AF that fit many cameras.
A friend of mine let me try out his 100mm Tokina on my D750. Yes, excellent lens. I forgot about the Tokina. And a lot less $$ than Tamron and Nikon.
Count how many times Tokina POPS up in this thread. I am a fan of Tokina, and I think never had a bad or unsharp Tokina.
I’ve often wondered if Tokina made lenses for PENTAX. The Pentax 100mm macro for example. Anyone know?
I don't think so - I may be wrong :( Your Pentax macro should work great if you have an adapter - I am very impressed with the Viltrox if there is one available for the Pentax to Fuji X!

Both the 1.4 and the 2X converters can be used with the 80 mm Macro lens .
I don't have the XF 80 but I did try both converters on my XF 100-400 Tele lens .
I kept the 1.4 but decided against the 2X , even though I really WANTED to like it .
The results from just the lens ,even cropped to the extreme , were ALL better than with the 2X attached.
PS: Many others have had similar experiences with the 2X , but the results may be better with the XF 80 than with the 100-400 .
I suggest you try both extenders and then decide for yourself ( with the 1:1 macro you may not need either ) lol
