I've been inspired and trying to learn from all the great photos here in the forum. Here's a few of my recent attempts ... most with a Tamron 150-600 zoom. All handheld
Un-named bird looks like a Merganser
When I hear of Cottonwood, Az I am reminded I was born in Clemenceau, Az and my birth certificate shows that. In 2010 I wrote to Cottonwood Chamber of Commerce if they knew where Clemenceau, Az is and was told it was in what is now Cottonwood. My father-in-law asked where I was born and I told him "Clemenceau". He said he had not heard of Clemenceau, so I told him it was a suburb of Cottonwood. This was in 1970.
In 2016 I was in Cottonwood ans was surprised to see an old bank or post office is now a Clemenceau Museum.
This tells of how the little Cottonwood has grown to become a larger small city.
'Tinker13' your photos of the 'residents' of Cottonwood just may also be the 'residents' of Clemencea. Regardless they are wonderful. I have a Tamron 150-600mm G1 that I really have gotten great photos with and yet it now has bitten the dust because it has then too much dust which has krept in the seals. If yours is a G2 version it has a 6 year warranty. I took real good care of mine, yet they tell me the dust factor is not that much concern on the G2 because they have fixt seals. Take care of it anyway.

It's a ring necked duck..
Excellent work and especially for hand-held shooting. Thank you.
Beautiful photos. The unnamed bird is a Ring-necked Duck. We have them wintering here in San Diego.
What is the camera body you used?
