Just a few photos from a recent shoot after being stuck in the house with temps at -25 F.
A different perspective. I like the fifth one best.
That seed head in #2 is of the Purple Headed Coneflower and its seeds are beloved by birds. Prepare youself for photographing bird visitors during the late winter migration in-flyin. You have the potential to get pics of birds that normally live north of Lake Superior. Good luck.
Enjoyed looking at these a lot. I really wanted to get out, but the wind and single digits kept me in also. The natural forms in the drifted snow are certainly in contrast to the soft enchanting fog images. The geese in flight is a wonderful shot with the motion.
Very nice. I like the wave photos and the last one.

Like them all, but last 2 are standouts.
Well done, Floyd.
Love the all and glad I don't have that weather in Texas
Keen sense for the abstract and the essential.
Thank you all for your kind comments. The landscape gets a bit bleak in the winter as I'm sure at least some of you folks experience. Gotta get the creative juices flowing. Can't tell you all how much I enjoy shooting.
As for JudyBabb - you don't know what you're missing by not having this kinda weather. We have family near Fort Worth and they can't wait to visit Nana/Papa in snow country.
With regard, Jef/Floyd
If that's an invitation to come visit, I'll come!
These are all very appealing, but the last two are outstanding. Excellent work!
Very nice Set! Like the first 3 and last one!
