Excellent safari images!

Thanks for the comment. It still amazes me to view the time stamps on the shots. Lions, ten minutes later - Leopards, 5 minutes later - Elephants. All day long. I can see from your tag photo you have seen the wonder of it all.

I really like the one of the leopard. Great shot of a hard-to-find animal.

Thanks. The leopards in Tintswalo were hard to find but at Mala Mala they are abundant. First leopard shot at Mala Mala is of one sitting on the side of the dirt road before we even got to the front gate. The most beautiful though was a young female in Tintswalo (not posted) she was about 3 and in the prime of the life.

Love these!!! We were in Sabi Sands (next to Mala Mala) last September...probably saw some of these very same animals. Africa gets under your skin...longing to go back....

Thanks Terry. It really has some pull I agree. We were there when the Lions ate the 3 poachers in Kruger. Best thing I read all week. Makes no sense to me.

So well done .., the sunset is how I remember it .. we were at Sabi Sabi the other side of Kruger ..

Funny you mention the sunset. I was invited to get on this trip by a fellow Islander. I had a Katmai trip planned and paid for when he says come on this trip he put together. So every sunset I am delaying the ride back for dinner and trying to get the guide and Tom to shoot. And with human eyes they aren't seeing the colors. So after days of ridicule as to how many damn shots of a dull gray sky I can shoot, and there cant possibly be any light left - I showed them the shots and then we are all on board from then on. Mahalo.

Fantastic series and amazing when double-clicked---thanks!

Thanks. I have tried to be critical and hard on myself and look for things like eye color variations in the subjects before processing the shot. The equipment will do amazing things if you work at it. Up here near Fredericksburg there are some really good shooters in our group and I am second tier to them.

Finally posting a short series from some very fine days on two separate Reserves. We started on Tintswalo and ended on Mala Mala. Both are adjacent to Kruger and the game moves unimpeded between the Reserves and Kruger. Download, double click for best view/detail.

Great set of images.
