With MPE? Handheld?
I seem to have hit a wall. Cannot get to a level this fine, even tho our equipment is similar.
But, that means something to do tomorrow.
FINE shooting.

I am always in awe of how the designs of tiny creatures are crafted so perfectly for their specific niche. Knowing this makes swatting a fly seem immoral but when it comes to a flea I have no sadness in their demise. Nice shots.

Excellent details, as always. One item that you do which has impressed and inspired me are these super-close shots of singular areas of our little beasties. I keep thinking I need to try that. Great stuff!

thanks, first and biggest reason/issue is DOF limitations, solving that and my own OCD curiosity in the structure and mechanics of critters up close the second. I'l never forget the first time I saw hairs coming out of the eyes of a bee, a seed sprouted that has become a rather large part of my life. That has triggered learning more of the immense and constantly enlarging world of insects. The more I educate myself, the less I know, which is mirrored in my acceptance of the same process in this ride called life. I can't imagine any of this would have happened without the switch to digital film and the digital universe we now inhabit, including meeting all you fine folk, I have enjoyed becoming acquainted with, learning from, sharing ideas with and getting help with ID and informed info on these creatures from you all.......so thank you too

Napabob, I am a true fan of your work. I enjoy seeing the mastery you have with your lighting for it makes the details pop and there are no hot spots and your colors appear to be true. Great job and I look forward to your future posts.
