Spectacular, especially with the contrasting white snow!

Here’s one I took last spring in Bluffton, SC. The red pretty much dominates the rest of the antique store.

p.3 Absolutely. Begs the eye to go directly to red (and the red on the bowl on the table) in the midst of all the darker and neutral tone. Attention getter.

Most of my red colors are associated with holidays, but here are some. Red foods are some of my favorites. So are red skies. I wish I could wear red lipstick like my daughter.........

That red shirt certainly draws attention to the new baby!

Great start, Pat. Like you said so very well, the color red can conjure
up so many different feelings, and in images, it's one of those colors
that seems to just draw your eye..."see me, see me." It's also one
of the most difficult colors to capture well without losing some of the
detail in the object.

Hope these work for your challenge.
Tim

p.3 Right on, Rolk. Look around and see how many business signs, products etc. use red. Like the abstract.

Thanks Pat for a great start and for Hosting this Challenge. Not sure what you want. Let me explain something first. Every time I see a shot for a possible vanishing focal point I go for it. This is one of my favorite's. This is how one can interpret this shot. The "STRENGTH and faith to endure the hardships" because Freedom is not Free.

p.3 One of the articles linked mentioned our flag - it automatically draws the eye and dominates a scene. This image is a perfect example of the strong lines created by the flags iand leading to a vanishing point. And, the symbolism of the flag is evident in the straight, bright lines they create

p.5 Talk about power and energy! (and a beautiful scene). You can almost feel the energy rising as the sun rises. Thank you for sharing. Think about the energizing effect red has...not only does your image harness the feeling of the energy to come with full sun, but it also can energize the human spirit. Think of those many days in the winter season that are gray and lack that energized feeling. Seasonal Affective Disorder, anyone?
