It has been fun leading three weeks of photo tours in Yellowstone. I begin my fourth tour tonight, and then head east to photograph other wildlife.
Superb images of Yellowstone landscape and animals !! Thanks for sharing.
Breathtaking images. Truly special! The artistry of #3 just blows me away.
One thing I meant to mention is I only use manual exposure when snow is such a big part of the image. It is far easier to set the exposure for snow, and then you can change composition at will without fighting with auto exposure modes that keep changing the exposure as the percentage of darks and lights change with changing compositions, or if a dark animal like a bison comes closer and that causes overexposure in the snow. As usual, I do it the simple way by manually adjusting the exposure until the first blinkies appear in the snow, and if a dark subject is my main target, then I go to the second blinkies. This has worked fine for me for quite a few years now.
Oh, and the only focus stacks are #2 and #3.
John, these are outstanding shots. Like Linda, I am amazed at no. 3 - tremendous impact! Plus, this is not the every day Yellowstone series. Too cold for me but I enjoy looking.
Thanks all! Yellowstone is amazing! As I write this, we are enduring a blizzard!!!!
Those are amazing photos!
