Nobody ever said coal jobs were coming back permanetly; however We need them until We are actually ready to completely replace coal. Don't worry about all the other stuff! When AI and machines learn all they need to they will determine that it is time to replace us before We screw something else up, and then we will be like the dinosaurs! GONE!!!

Bingo...you win the prize! The demise of the dinosaur was likely caused by asteroid strike. BUT, my friend, the asteroid did not kill the dinosaurs directly....it changed Earth's environment....which killed the dinosaurs. So, if you decide to go back and start over, please read the WHOLE story not just the headline.

Not too sure I agree, St.Mary's. Joe seemed (to me), to be describing past, present and future change. A Luddite is one who destroys technology. I don't sense that Joe is into that.

Circumstances on earth may never be the same as when first life was created... it is likely something will survive... to evolve.

Sometimes changes happen so quickly that it is not possible to readily evolve... evolution fails when stupidity is no longer fatal.

A truer statement...I have never read! Let's hear it for evolution!
