City skylines are admittedly banal, but I can't seem to resist photographing them. Here's Houston's skyline by day and by night taken between Memorial Drive and Allen Parkway.

Nice pair. I like the lights on the poles.

Two nice shots and a dramatic difference.

I perceive a noticible change in perspective. What were the lens settings for the shots?
Thank you in advance.

Two very nice images but the second one does it.

Thanks for the information.

I asked because the size of the buildings changed. The difference is more than I would have expected for only 2/3 step change in aperture. Perhaps the distance AND the the light amplified this perception?

I really like the second image over the first --- I think it's well composed and holds my interest very much.

Both are very good shots but the night shot is excellent.
