Moon added, color seriously changed
Feedback welcomed. Thanks for viewing!
That is just beautiful. I especially like the colors and how the moon appears to be setting behind the cloudy horizon.
Nice.
Are the birds Bob-whites?

Thought so. Different species.
Love this Linda! This is the view I see from our house in Selah and this last blood moon was visible one night only. I know yours is a composite but change the colors and it could be the real thing!
By the way, that small perfect cylindrical shaped hill just to the left of the quail on the left is on Yakima Training Center property and I got to hike to the top of it last summer with our local hiking group. It was a rainy day but still fun because it is usually off limits!
Good work.
Wonderful result, Linda! Original quail?
I would say the colours are still within the realm of what's feasible, but for me the sky would have to be less noisy. I know your days of working with film have left you with a certain resilience when it comes to tolerating grain and noise, but to my mind skies need to be smooth in order to look their best. And you don't have to lose definition in the clouds to achieve that.
What I noticed was that my eye was hopping back and forth between the moon and the right hand fence gate and bird area, lingering occasionally on the bird on the post, then back to hopping back and forth again. So I thought to close the distance of that hop, moving the moon over above the gate peeping from the horizon. I really like the fence/birds, and the amount of light you have lighting the foreground. I like the colors. guess just not where you put the moon.
