A note about the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Rail Road.
The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic RR operates as a "Living Museum" and often runs reenactment photo charters representing a historic period. Fred’s image of #455 from 2017 and JayRay’s images showing #453 this past color season are part of that practice. #315 an even older engine, on loan from the DRHS, was also on hand this past year. If historic railroading interests you the C&TS is worth keeping on your radar. You often find that a “Galloping Goose” is running or if the good Lord is willing, Dan Markoff’s wood burning Eureka.
