Not exactly art but it did show me how well my ugly lens performs.
I had to pull a prop off to have it sent back to the mfr. to deal with a delamination of one blade at the tip. Found the level tube on my prop protractor had sprung a leak. I created a lash up with small plastic level so I'd have a start up angle when we get the blades back.
Shot handheld at 200 mm F7.1 @ 125th and ISO 800.

Once upon a time I attended an art showing where this might have earned an honorable mention or better. I've found I just never know what "art" really is.

What's ugly about your Tamron? I own a 28-75 2.8 and a 18-270 6.3, both of which I picked up used, and consider them both pretty...mostly due to what the let me see with my old Canon 60D (also picked up used).

Today I just missed out on a Tamron 150mm-600mm - F/5.0-6.3 A011. Almost broke my heart.

The lens was given a condition rating of UG by KEH and I bought it for $20 plus shipping. It looks almost new to me and this first shot confirms it's working properly. I can't wait for some better light to use it some more. Right now, I'm just thrilled to have it.

I would definitely agree that the lighting conditions were not the kind you would need to decide on the quality of the lens. Otherwise I'd say it stinks. Give it a better chance.

I have a couple of those ugly Tamron lenses too, 28-300's, 28-200's, 18-270, Sony and Nikon mounts, they do a good job, especially in each lens sweet spot!! Sorry to hear about the A011 getting away...…..

$20 plus shipping is certainly worth the gamble.
