What is the material for the statue? Stone?
Willie would approve the open interaction with his image. If he was in the area, he would have clambered up there himself.

I'm jealous. Maybe someday I'll get the opportunity to be this close to Willie. I read his book "It's a Long Story: My Life" and based on that I don't think he would mind. Great shot!

I attended a "sold out" Willie Concert. It was outside! I carried my D-810 with my Tammy 16-300 F/3.5-6.3. I had purchased a front row seat. Got all the exposures I wanted. Even very close-ups of "Trigger" his infamous guitar with the worn hole in it. Willie, would hang his little finger in it when he was picking. I had previously attended a Cheryl Crowe concert at the same venue. NO CAMERA'S! I did pull out my cell phone and sneaked one exposure. Security saw me and got up in my face and told me they would escort me out if I did it again. ..Willie would approve of you standing and leaning on his statue..
