This is a follow up on this post https://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-567563-1.html#9659012

I posted that I had ordered some DIY parts to light my studio for video and I have completed the project with the following parts. The goal was to add two 500 watt equivalent led bulbs (60 watts actual) pointing at the ceiling to provide better lighting for my music videos. In these videos I generally sit in one spot and sing and play the guitar or keyboard. The room has pale yellow walls and a white ceiling and is about 11 ft. by 11 ft. in size. The camera is a Nikon Coolopix B700.

Parts:

The two warm white led bulbs cost $48 at Amazon.

Because thes bulbs had E39 bases I needed to order a couple of E39 to standard base adapters. Two cost $14 on ebay.

I purchased a pair of clip on PVC bulb holders at Home Depot. However I only wound up using one to hold a bulb and used a floor lamp to hold the other bulb. The bulbs were placed in two corners of the room, one two ft. and one about four ft. from the ceiling.
The bulb was too heavy for the holder to keep it pointed at the ceiling, however the floor lamp didn't have that problem. I wound up letting the bulb hang down from the holder. I spent $26 for the two holders at Home Depot.

Total cost $88.

Thanks. I'm going to learn more about lighting now that I got started. I'd like to know how to eliminate shadows, maybe by placing a few more smaller lights pointed at the subject. I have a feeling there's much to learn.
