I have been seeing promotions for Arsenal online. They make some impressive claims. Although I tend to trust my own Canon gear and techniques, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with Arsenal. Does it really do what they claim?

Oh, here we go again.

I think one UHHer claims to have one but can't remember where he put it. It was that impressive.

You might want to use the Search feature at the top of the page and see the comments others have made about this thing.

That was me. Found it. Still don't use it. SnapBridge on my Nikons works better and faster.

I do not have any experience with the equipment but from what I have read, I'd rather trust my camera's meter and my judgements.

Like they say, one of these is born every minute.

Since unfortunately SnapBridge is close to worthless with my Nikon D850, I sometimes use Arsenal as a remote controller. I do not use Arsenal's claimed intelligence features. Sometimes, I use its movement sensor to see if my camera is stable. Would I buy it again? Probably not. I'd first investigate other remote-control products (e.g. CamRanger, Sony's remote control apps, etc.)

I couldn't see the point.

Works wonderfully on my D850. Just as great on the D500 and Z7 too.

I also got one last August. Don’t use it, it’s just a gimmick. Too slow, not that easy to use, and (potentially) takes the creativity out of taking images.

MT: Are you using Android or iPhone? I'm using iPhone. I think we've had this discussion before.

I’m just curious, why do you own so many excellent high end cameras? Please understand, I’m not knocking it ... just trying to understand. Are you a professional, and use them all in your work? Are you a hobbyist, and just like using them to explore different features and results?

I think it’s wonderful you have so many nice cameras. Just curious.

I have made my living with my cameras since 1982. They are the tools of my trade.
