I just saw the TV weather News this morning. The temperature in Chicago, Illinois is minus 21 degrees. That is unbearable. Coldest I have ever experienced was minus 13, as a teenager. Walking about 1.5 miles in that cold was an experience I'll never forget. In Chicago now, I doubt there will be very few pizzas delivered. In past Superbowl Games. I have been invited out. And when I host, I have pizza, spaghetti, wings and of course. Beer. Another friend I know, says he has a family pot luck affair. Best Buy Stores have sent me countless emails, wanting me to buy a new TV on Sale. I like the one I have already. I saw a TV ad on Samsung's 65" Frame TV, selling for $2200. I imagine many were enticed to buy that TV, just in time for the Superbowl. I forgot, I have various chip dips. Cheese and bean. I think Tom Brady will win #6. IMO. Legendary Songstress Gladys Knight will sing the National Anthem. And others for Halftime entertainment. Enjoy the Superbowl everyone.

To be honest, I'm rooting for a horrific case of bad officiating. Fans of various teams (me, Steelers) can find calls throughout the season that were NOT defendable. (For my team, there were 4 critical cases. Against the Chargers, a BLATANT false start, so blatant the defense stopped playing, netted a touchdown, and a BLATANT block in the back also resulted in a TD. Then, two phantom pass interference calls netted the Saints 10 points, both losses by 3, meaning Pitt lost a playoff chance.... twice)

This Super Bowl is soooooooooooooo tainted, even before the game itself, that I have to root for the worst case scenario, hoping to never repeat this season's officiating. That said, I'm so irritable about this season's officiating, any issue on Sunday I'll read on Monday. I'm playing pool Sunday and will NOT be watching the bogus match-up.

Have no interest in the Super Bowl, and will not be wasting my time watching it. The Saints were robbed, and being a New York fan, no way I want to see the Patriots and Belichick win again.

Yeah, the Saints got a bad no call, that likely cost them a trip to the Super Bowl. But, IMO, that's life! Football is a game played by and officiated by flawed humans. People are now pushing for video replay of interference calls...I don't see it. Technology should not take over the whole game. Then, people will ask for replay of holding calls (the most common foul in football), and for head-to-head contact, and who knows...perhaps for every single penalty. Can you imaging getting a ref to view replay on every other play? Not. So, Saints fans, get over it. The no call could just as likely be for the other team, and then Saints fans would be rejoicing in their good luck!

Not all bad calls are created equal, when you have a single bad call at such a pivotal time that will determine the outcome of an entire season and impact the lives of so many fans and players, that's an entirely different story. The penalty so blatant that it was exposed to the entire football world and you are going to tell me that all the paid officials who's eyes were glued to that play just missed it! Come on, I admit I'm a Saints fan and the season is over for us but I feel that a pass interference call inside the final two minutes should be a challengeable call to eliminate what looked like a fix!

This is one game I don't plan to watch because it's tainted by pathetic officiating. It's meaningless to me.

Although I couldn't care less about the Super Bowl I feel bad for the fans in this area, at least for the ones who have Dish Satellite (like me). The local CBS station is having a tiff with Dish and that station is not available to them unless they have an OTA antenna (which I have) or go to a local bar or casino to watch the game. They won't be able to watch the game in the comfort of their homes on that big screen TV they bought for the game.

This is what the fans will see when they tune into the game

Well, it looks like Dish and the local CBS station worked out their disagreement. I got an email from Dish saying the local station was back on the Dish. I knew they would have this done before Sunday. Morons.

I watched the Superbowl. A good Defensive game it was. But, 41 year old Tom Brady, still has enough in the tank to keep on winning..if you plan to win a Superbowl, you better have an effective plan. And be able to execute that plan. If you don't. Your city won't have a Superbowl Parade. Brady has at least two years left to play well enough to beat any NFL team. They beat a 12-4 Chargers team, a 13-3 Chiefs team, and a 13-3 Rams team. The Patriots were 11-5. You win the games that counts. Six Superbowl Rings. What Quarterback has that many? And I'm not a Patriots fan. Patriots won 13-3. Lowest score in Superbowl history. Drew Brees and Tom Brady should have been facing each other in the Superbowl.
