What is the liquid in the pool, it almost looks like jello before it hardens.

It is just regular water in the kiddy pool, The cloth is what is called a shear, synthetic material and translucent. It tends to float on and in the water so it gives this type of visual effect. The bottom of the pool is light blue, the fabric is wine red, togeather, red and light blue creates a neutral density type of effect so that the liquid 'feels to the eye' thick and dense. So, yours is an astute observation of the visual effect. So thanks for your comment.

Thanks dpullum and BboH. I was playing with some fabric the day before the shoot with VADA and was just amazed with how it looked in and on the water. When it warms up again I think this fun needs repeating.

I have to be kept out of fabric stores as I just go nuts over the possibilities that the color and surfaces offer. But then I find one and tell myself that I will stay in the clearance section. LIES! I see some fabric and I'm just drawn to the luster, the sensual feel of it.

I did luck out, when my Brother Steve was shutting down his theater in Ossining New York I scored tons of fun things including loads of antique lace! So I pitched out all the cheap curtains and I let the models get into the real lace.
