On our recent trip to the Keys I went searching for the Key Deer. I've been going to the Keys for years but have never seen any. I found these on "No Name Key" just north of Big Pine Key. They are much smaller than normal white tail deer. They are on the endangered list but are doing much better. At one time it was estimated the population was approximately 50....now there numbers are well over 500.
those are great shots. They look fat and healthy
