One of gripes about extension tubes has been the fact that you have to combine different ones to achieve the desired results. I ran across this in Outdoor Photographer. Great idea! Looking at the ad I'm not sure what mounts are available. Need to do more research. Read the reviews. Seems to be for only Nikon. Nope Canon and Nikon. Might limit some functions but still seems like a great idea. No glass to degrade image.

I saw that ad, too. Why don't you buy one and write a review for us?

Send me your credit card info and I will. Actually I'm going to do more research. Good alternative to more expensive full macro lenses. I'll pass along what I find out. I still liked the old 105 Micro Nikkor that I used on my old FE.

I tried manual ($8.00) extension tubes and eventually got the Micro Nikkor 105 on ebay. Very nice lens.

I think the adjustable combined with a fixed fast 50 or 85 would be a great combination. A zoom I'm not too sure about although it would work. Too much speed loss most likely.
