How come he's only got 2 golf ball bats???
Maybe that's why he's frustrated?
Do you possibly mean golf clubs?
There's not enough mental space for loneliness on a golf course. The game takes all the available mental energy.
Nice Shot!! What course?

Thanks.

A nice golf course is my favorite place to be alone.
Our little club here at home has less than 50 members and plays around a 100-acre lake in the middle of a 5,000-acre ranch loaded with cattle and beautiful oak trees.
Most of the time when I play there, I am on the only one on the course.
I love being there with just the deer and the squirrels and God.

Where is this little slice of heaven located?
Ben Hogan's best friend Marvin Leonard (who built Shady Oaks and Colonial in Fort Worth and brought the U.S. Open to Fort Worth in 1941) built this little slice of heaven for his daughter on his ranch
an hour southwest of Fort Worth in 1969. It's a gorgeous 30 minute drive through the rolling hills where our ranch is located in the Cross Timbers section of Texas. Come see us and we will put the top down on my 33-year-old 560 SL Mercedes and drive over there for a lonely round of golf and one of the deluxe hamburgers made from the Angus cattle that graze on the pastures surrounding the course. Go to the Starr Hollow Golf Club website and check it out. The name Starr Hollow comes from the legendary cowgirl bandit Belle Starr, who some say hid stolen horses in the place that is now the lake. Be sure to bring your camera. Mr Hogan gave me a golf lesson in 1993 at Shady Oaks, but if you see me play golf you would never know that. And bring your fishing pole and we'll catch some big bass in that lake when we're tired of the golf.

That's all you need if you are going to a peactice putting green. A 7 iron (chipping) and a putter
Never a good round when you come back 2 to 3 clubs lite in the golf bag, or no bag at all!! LOL
I've turned mine into golf ball bats a time or two.

What a place and story. May be calling for an invite to this special place. Home and home?
Come on down. Nice day today with full sun and temperature headed toward low 60s, but the course is much prettier in the spring.
Your image reminds me of "been there and done that".

I like that term "golf ball bats" I'm keeping it for future use. I once had a lady correct me that they weren't sticks, but "clubs". I asked her if she could help me improve my game. Suckered her into a game of "teach back". Crushed her with my golf sticks, because she had no idea how to use her "golf ball bats". Most fun day ever. Sometimes, one just has to be a little nasty back at the nasty provider.
