I suppose that I am old fashioned, but I find these photos distasteful. I don't like the idea of reducing women to body parts. I believe that it is disrespectful to women in general, even if some models don't mind being photographed this way. I would much rather see a photo which captures the woman's personality, as so many photos on this site do. A nude young woman who has taken good care of her physique is the most beautiful sight in the world (I've never seen a sunset that could match that sight)--don't break her up into pieces.

can I express my opinion?
I think a woman is torn to pieces when absurd rules decide that one part of the body can be shown while another part must be covered. A woman is torn to pieces even in the soul when if she does not respect these social rules she suffers contempt, and the social condemnation of those who believe they are the defender of morality.

obviously I'm not talking about you

Or perhaps it is on the technical qualities of the photos but all you want is positive comments.

sorry all I want is tecnical comments either negative or positive (I know I am a bad photographer) not moralistic comments

If you say a naked female body disturbs me and makes me uncomfortable it is 'absolutely right

what should not be allowed is 'the conclusion of some: "for this reason a naked female body must disappear"

Your photos are not good photography. Poor lighting, poor composition, distractions in the background, many not in focus. There is a difference between tastefully nude photography and your crotch snapshots. All of this has nothing to do with your body, just poor photography.

It's easy to engage in substantial -- or niggling -- criticism. Of course, few rational people give a damn about critics; it's the creators who, well... create.

More significant is that PaolaPF deserves credit for her bluntness, honesty. And also especially for something which seems rare: a sex-positive and body-positive attitude and pride.

I never said my work was anything spectacular. I do not post my work because I do not care for opinions of my work. I shoot for my enjoyment only. I know I have much to learn. That is why I am on this forum. Having said all this, I can give my opinion as well as anyone else. Trash is trash.

Speaking of possible vulgarity, I may be shooting this weekend. All in favor of some bondage and spanking, raise your cameras. I mean, your hands.

Correct. The person who posted these asked "Are these photos vulgar?" and then seemed to resent "yes" answers. Personally, I don't find body parts attractive. As I indicated earlier, taking photos like this turns women into objects. A good glamour photo should depict a woman as a full human being. I have visited nude beaches and have found that my eyes focus on the entire female form. I have even had conversations with people I met there, making eye contact. I have heard artists say that the appeal of nude photography is that it depicts women's bodies with an unbroken line (no cloth to get in the way).

I am not critiquing her attitude or pride. I am giving my opinion regarding the merits of the pictures. She posted looking for comments. If all she wanted were positive comments she should have said so.
