Finally got an image of a female Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) dragonfly. Although they are the same species, the sexes look very different. Sorry the male isn't tack sharp!

Thanks micro,
I was really lucky on the female. She was hanging out by my garden and I just caught a glimse of her as she landed. The males on the other hand are usually down by the water and seem to be always moving.
Keep at it , you'll get one!!
