Golden Hour in Glacier N. P.
The Golden Hour and Alpenglow can be special anywhere. I was in Glacier National Park when the show was spectacular, really magical. They are from a digital, trip album and the photos are annotated with titles. Unfortunately I did this on the originals. Lessoned learned. They are of Grinnell Point, taken from the deck of Many Glacier Lodge, looking across Swiftcurrent Lake. Hope you enjoy.
Set The Stage: Grinnell Point after the sun is up.

6:02 AM - Early light is more red. It catches Gould Mt. and just starts to illuminate Grinnell Point.

6:24 AM - Dark clouds rolled in and it seemed like the show was over. Then the clouds parted just a little to create an alpenglow spotlight on Grinnell Point. With the surrounding still dark it lit up like a jewel.

Next Day, 6:13 AM - Up early to catch the show again. The sky was clear so was able to catch the early reddish alpenglow.

Thanks for your comments!
Very nice set! Thanks for getting up & out early and then sharing the results. Love #4!
As a series, these have particular impact. I've been fortunate to see often and even from long distance it's breathtaking. I hope your album "show" is sold out at every viewing
Thanks Linda, Karin and KT for your comments
Very nice! Spectacular, even.

You have captured some beautiful light.

Beautiful series. We've been to Glacier once in 2011 and stayed in Whitefish. The next time we're planning to stay at the Many Glacier Lodge.
Beautiful place with lots to do. Make reservations early, real early. Some say on New Years day for that year. We where with a small group trip so didn't have to make ours.
