I don't have too many images that fit this category, but here is one I took recently. My grandfather built this dollhouse for my mother back in the 40s. He died when she was 10. I am fortunate to be the current owner of the dollhouse and all of its furniture and inhabitants. This is "Mom". This articulated family included, at one time, blue "Dad" in a suit, yellow "Sister" in a dress, and khaki "Brother" in uniform. Mom and Brother doll are all that remain. My mom lost Dad (or perhaps removed him as a reflection of her own experience?) and I accidentally flushed Sister as a child (not based on my own experience :). I set the dollhouse up at Christmas time and have clear plexiglass over the front so the grands can look, but not touch until they are older. Thanks for hosting!

Thank you, Karin. Is that horse made of lead? Very cool. I remember playing with my dad's lead soldiers. My siblings and I were not gentle and many soldiers suffered trauma at our mishandling.
