A 4 frame stitch showing an eclipsing moon and setting sun, a selenehelion. The eclipsing moon is seen above the shadow of Haleakala here on Maui

Good job. That took some planning.

actually I realized that this was possible onthe way to work (at the observatory) I only had a 24-120 and 80-400 zoom, just wanted to get a photo of the partially eclipsed moon near the shadow of Haleakala as an additional selection for a magazine article about Haleakala Observatory. I never shot a big pano before so a bit of Google and then to the top of a clear view building to work out spacing at 27mm and luck was with me. My friend Cindy came up w/ her Sony a6000 and automatically cranked off a series of frames and the camera stitched them together, she too learned that she could do that earlier in the day.

Aloha
