I took these photos in Yorktown, VA. As most of you should know, this is where the British finally surrendered and the US won our independence.

I'm curious which of the bridge photos you like best, and why. This is my first photo submission for critique, so let me have it. I have posted elsewhere on UHH but nit here.

The third photo is the Victory Monument. Comments also welcome.

I like 1, the colors are darker and richer.

The second bridge shot. It's brighter.

I like the first bridge. The longer sweeping lines, and the blue carries through the sky and water, especially underneath the bridge. Nicer colors.

All are nice. I prefer the second one because its colors are brighter.

I see 2 "draw bridge" gates (alternating red & white bands). Does this bridge open to let large vessels thru?
One thing is clear - this bridge is not about to fall down any time soon.

I was curious after looking at your pictures and so I 'googled' Yorktown bridge. It was fascinating. And to answer RCJets, yes it opens to let large vessels thru.

Beautiful skies make such a difference in our photos and these are great examples. Nice work.

nice, I think a slight preference for #1, more interesting sky, get a better feeling for the length of the bridge .
