For any of you looking at Fuji and wondering how it performs in video
What I'm wondering about is can the eye-level viewfinder be used in video mode. You can't with a DSLR. Being mirrorless, maybe the eye-level finder is usable.
Yes, since it has an electronic viewfinder, you can use it for video. Haven't tried it yet but the evf on the Fuji is quite remarkable and very "true to life" for photos!
The one drawback I've found (besides the short battery life) is that it doesn't have a headphone jack unless you buy the battery grip which has it - If I did a lot of video work I would want the battery grip anyway to increase my battery life. The remarkable thing about the Fuji is what you get for the price (and the fantastic lens' Fuji makes) - pretty darn good :D

If you are referring to the EVF it is wonderful for video. Such a different experience than trying to do video from the LCD screen for multiple reasons. If you are handholding the camera is easier to keep it steady and you can see exactly what you are filming, whether things are staying in focus, and if your exposure is where you want it to be. It's almost impossible for me to see the image on the LCD screen in sunlight. I sometimes video my dogs running and playing and it's so much easier keeping them in the scene. When I grab my phone to video the dogs, I'm saying to myself- now where did they go :) That would be the same for any mirrorless camera that has an EVF. I have the Fuji X-T3 but the video was good on the X-T2.
PS-Fuji has many film simulations that you can also use in video. Can give your video a totally different look. I use them all the time so that's a plus for Fuji in my mind.

I guess I'm old school. To you it's an EVF (Electronic View Finder) but to me it's still an eye-level viewfinder. You hold it up to your eye.
Then we are on the same page-
