Love these!

Thanks so much LoriL. I wasn't sure how everyone would react to these "behind the scenes" type of surfing photos. I'm glad you liked them.

Quite a few (dedicated? Crazy?) surfers waiting for better light (or warmer conditions).
I liked 2 and 6 best.

The ones with surfers make me shiver... or maybe it's the snow that's not melting in our back yard.

I get it DragonsLady.........you like the pure and simple waves all by themselves. There is a real beauty in just nature doing it's thing. Thanks for your input DragonsLady.

I really like this series, especially the first image. Just how cold was it to require a knit cap? 65 degrees? LOL

Hahahahhaaaa.......randave2001 the water temp was in the 50's, and air temp in the 60's.

As always....excellent!

#7 really shows how dangerous the water can be and how crazy those surfers are!

Thanks very much Cykdelic. I wouldn't say the surfers are crazy but just dedicated to something they love to do. The water is not really dangerous when you have experience.

I personally liked the bird on the picnic table. My neice said it is cold out there but not too cold to surf😄.Naomi was born December 10.❣️

Thanks Susan for your input on this series. The water temps are what they are........the surfer then chooses how thick of a wetsuit to wear depending upon those temps. Personally I have never been cold in my 3-2 wetsuit. The 3-2 are the millimeters of thickness in the suit. Usually the chest area is thicker than the arms and legs. You have to have some mobility in the arms and legs so on mine they are 2 mm thick. The wetsuits have evolved over the years and now have a super flexible stretchy material.

For setting a mood, #1 is my pick, but you've proven your skill behind a camera once again with this set. The early morning golden hour really came through for you!

Yeah FL Streetrodder, even though I am not really a morning person, it really pays off by capturing the golden hour. Thanks FL Streetrodder.

Southern Indiana is a long way from the beach A10. Thanks for the compliments. You really should visit your daughter.........it would be a good excuse to warm up!

Number 1 is my favorite Brent but I like all of them. Well done sir.

Thank you very much Dennis. It's everyday photos and the way you crop them that can really change things up. I like the composition of #1. The double wave relates to the double surfboards and the double people that are all perpendicular to each other.

WOW Chuck, that is quite a compliment, thank you very much. If I can inspire my UHH friends to improve their photography, it makes me happy!
How was Half Moon bay anyways?
