nikon coolpix b700 problem

I have an occasional problem with the way it is taking the picture. There is not rhyme or reason but for some of the pictures the corners are rounded. I can take 3 pictures at a time and 2 will have the problem and one will be normal. It does not matter which PP program I am using and does it in ON1 photo raw and Photoshop CC 2019. It happens when it is opened. Any ideas?

Looks like a hood or filter causing the vignetting in the corners, should only happen when shooting at the widest angles.

Took the words right out of my mouth. That shot was taken with the zoom lens at the widest where a hood or filter got in the way at the corners.

No hood but I have a screwed in filter. I guess I will try it with and without the filter.
Thanks.

You could try a larger filter using a step-up ring. There are also thin filters for wide angle although these are for a different purpose. I had a cool pix camera a number of years a go that had a special attachment. The attachment used rather large filters.
